Cottages In Foolow - Lea Cottage
Sep 28th, 2008 by Peak District Cottages
This is the perfect place to stay in order to explore all the delights and wonders of the Peak District.
Foolow Village is found nestled between the historic village of Eyam, made famous by the plague of 1666 and Bradwell, famous for its fabulous ice-cream. Foolow prides itself on being a traditional village combining a village green and duck pond with a good old fashioned traditional pub with quality food, all within walking distance of the cottage.
For the romantic you can re-enact the scenes from Pride and Prejudice and visit the beautiful grounds of Chatsworth House or just take in the views from Bretton, Hucklow Edge and Stanhope Edge and enjoy the many country walks on offer.
The Cottage - Sleeps 2
The cottage is attached to the main house and was once the old tractor barn. You enter straight into the lounge/diner with wooden floors and occasional rugs. This room is south facing and takes in the sun all day.
A couple of stairs take you up to the well equipped fitted kitchen, with dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine.
Natural stone stairs take you up to the good sized bedroom with vaulted ceilings and fireplace adding to its charm. An en-suite shower room completes the layout of this exceptional cottage.
